EVENT ATTENDEE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where do i park for kansas city fashion week?
When participating or attending Kansas City Fashion Week, you have many parking options available to you. Our newest and most convenient option is to ride Kansas City's new Streetcar that runs along Main Street. Visit Ride KC for more information. This gives you the option of finding a street parking spot, anywhere downtown then hopping on the streetcar.
There are many parking garages located closer to Union Station that would also be options. Visit this great downtown parking map from our partners over at Visit KC! Please note that the parking garage attached to Union Station is paid parking.
wHAT SHOULD i WEAR TO A KANSAS CITY FASHION WEEK SHOW?
Kansas City Fashion Week is all about style. Many of our guests use our shows as an opportunity to go all out with their look for the evening. Our weeknight shows are typically more casual with attire ranging from dressy casual to semiformal. Our Friday and Saturday evening shows are when you'll see many award show red carpet looks, with women wearing black tie gowns and men wearing more semiformal attire. Whatever you decide to wear to KCFW, remember to use your personal style. Photos will be taken at the event, so be ready to strut your stuff!
See this dress code event guide from Emily Post for more info!

CAN I BRING A CAMERA TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE RUNWAY SHOW?
Most of our runway shows start with doors opening for cocktails, mingling and shopping our vendors at 6:30pm. Our emcee will announce when it's time to get seated for the runway show, typically around 8pm. The first half of the show includes 3-4 designer segments and will last approximately 45 minutes. There will be a 15-20 minute intermission before the second half of the show starts. Each show in full lasts around 2 hrs from the start of the first designer on the runway to the last.
WHAT IS THE EVENT TIMELINE OF A TYPICAL KANSAS CITY FASHION WEEK RUNWAY SHOW?
In respect for the designers that have worked so hard on their collections, we do ask that you only get up from your seat in between designers and not during a designer's runway show segment. Please also wait until a designer's runway segment has ended before returning to your seat.
CAN I GET UP FROM MY SEAT TO USE THE RESTROOM OR GET A DRINK WHILE THE SHOW IS GOING ON?
For the safety and security of all models and staff that are backstage, no guests will be permitted entrance into the backstage area at any time.
IF MY CHILD IS A MODEL IN THE SHOW, CAN I GO BACKSTAGE TO VISIT WITH THEM AT INTERMISSION OR AFTER THE SHOW?
We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Our runway show reserved seats sell out before the day of the show. Standing room is available at the door ONLY if seated tickets are not available.
