Chelsea Marshall, a Kansas City native, is currently a senior at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, pursuing her love of the fashion world with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design.

From a young age, Chelsea immersed herself in all things fashion and beauty.  She put on fashion shows for her family showcasing designs she made out of wrapping paper, avidly sketched out clothes she would design for a real runway someday, and experimented with makeup whenever possible. Chelsea’s fashion career began to take shape when a friend asked her to model in the first show of Kansas City Fashion Week in the Fall/Winter 2012 season.  She loved the experience so much she has participated in nearly every event since as a model and, more recently, a designer assistant.

Shortly after graduating high school, Chelsea wanted more involvement in the fashion world and, in 2015, made the move to Springfield to attend MSU with plans to graduate in the spring of 2018. When she’s not at school, you can find her at Sephora where she works as a Makeup Artist. She is always expressing her creativity, both in and out of the design studio.

With her future in the fashion industry waiting right around the corner, Chelsea could not be more excited about seeing yet another aspect of the Kansas City Fashion Week world.  Her past involvement gave her a sneak-peak into the worlds of the tireless individuals who share her passion for all aspects of the fashion industry and she is looking forward to having an even more active role in the ever-growing fashion community in her beloved hometown of Kansas City.
